Harry’s Farm Tire is a family-owned and operated corporation founded by Harry Rowold in 1963. They have served eastern Iowa and western Illinois farm markets with quality service and products for more than 50 years. What started as a small service station has evolved to an elaborate tire and wheel shop handling car, light truck and semi tire needs. The shop also contains two large tire mounting machines for tractor and sprayer tires. Harry’s also has their own rim shop to build agricultural rims. This is all enhanced by on-the-farm service through a fleet of service vehicles. Currently, there are two Harry’s Farm Tire stores in Iowa and two in Illinois. The main warehouse and home office are located in Wheatland, Iowa. Among these locations, Harry’s operates a fleet of eleven fully equipped service trucks and carries and inventory valued at over $2 million. In addition to tires, Harry’s stocks a large number of agricultural wheels and can provide replacement wheels for most farm machinery from stock or fabricate many which are not. Modern day farming practices are evolving constantly. This trend has produced a demand for changing tire and wheel sizes on existing farm equipment. To keep pace with this trend, Harry’s is continuously expanding its wheel shop and equipping it with the latest technology. Harry’s is now capable of providing tires and wheels for converting almost any type of farm machinery from one size to another. Along with its sales to end users, Harry’s has developed a clientele of original equipment manufacturers. As the result of its modern shop facilities and the experience of its personnel, Harry’s can provide these customers with tire and wheel assemblies that meet or exceed their specifications and satisfy delivery requirements. |
